EXHIBIT SCHEDULE
Exhibit Dates: February 15 - March 17th, 2023
Opening Reception and Awards Ceremony: Wed, February 15, 4-6 pm, 2023
Gallery Hours: Mon-Thurs 11am-5pm & Fri 11am-3pm
DEADLINE: Tues, January 31, 11:59pm PST 2023
ELIGIBILITY: Artists living and working in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obispo and Ventura counties.
SIZE LIMITATIONS: 2D work must be ready to hang and no larger than 18” in any direction, including frame. 3D work must also be 18” or less in any direction, excluding pedestal. 4D/Multi Media work must include monitor/projection device smaller than 18” in any direction. Any media.
ENTRY FEES: $30 first entry. $15 each additional. Limit 3 entries per artist.
$15 entry for students; each additional entry $7.50. Maximum of 3 entries. (Coupon code necessary.)
NOTICE OF ACCEPTANCE: Announcements will be made by email on Feb. 6, 2023
DELIVERY OF ACCEPTED WORKS: If accepted, artists agree to deliver their work at their own cost to the ATKINSON GALLERY, Santa Barbara City College, Humanities Building Room 202, 721 Cliff Drive, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. Deliveries may be made by USPS, UPS, FEDEX or in person. All artworks must be delivered to the gallery by 3:00 pm (PST) on Tuesday, Feb. 14, 2023. .
PICK UP OF EXHIBITED WORKS: Following the end of the exhibition all artworks must be picked up by 3:00 pm (PST) on Monday, March 27, 2023. The gallery is not responsible for any artworks not picked up by this date and time. Artists who ship their work must provide return packaging and a pre-paid shipping label. A FEE OF $5 PER DAY PER PIECE WILL BE CHARGED FOR THE STORAGE OF WORK NOT PICKED UP. After 15 days, unclaimed work will become the property of the ATKINSON GALLERY and may be disposed of or discarded.
SALES: If you offer your work for sale through this exhibition, you must indicate the sale price in the application. If you do not want to sell the work, put “$0” in price and write “NOT FOR SALE” in description box. A 20% commission will be taken by the ATKINSON GALLERY and will be withheld from the payment to you from the ATKINSON GALLERY. No works sold by the ATKINSON GALLERY through the exhibition will be released, nor payment (less ATKINSON GALLERY commission) tendered to the artist until purchaser’s payment in full has cleared deposit.
COMMITMENT TO EXHIBIT: No entry may be withdrawn from the exhibit before its conclusion.
LIABILITY
All works are entered at artist’s own risk. All reasonable care in handling and exhibiting artworks will be taken. The exhibitor agrees to hold harmless Santa Barbara City College and its officers or agents for any loss or damage of any artwork submitted or selected for exhibition. ATKINSON GALLERY does not carry any insurance for artwork.
ARTISTS CERTIFICATION
I certify that I am the artist of this work and live in Santa Barbara, San Luis Obsipo and Ventura Counties, CA. I understand that any misrepresentation of eligibility and conditions will result in immediate disqualification from the exhibit. In the event that misrepresentation is evident to gallery officials after judging has occurred, the prize will be forfeited. I agree to all conditions and rules listed. I hereby release Santa Barbara City College from any loss or damage to my entries.
